PLOCAN participates in “Macaronight 2019 – European Researchers’ Night”

PLOCAN participated in “Macaronight 2019, European Researchers’ Night” that took place in Santa Ana Square in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with the Educational Marine Robotics initiative EDUROVs. The MacaroNight project, within the framework of the European Researchers’ Night, brings together the Macaronesian archipelago in one single night where we share and show our common heritage, culture and past, promoting the future of Macaronesian researchers. It was celebrated simultaneously in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira, Sao Miguel and Sao Vicente.

The European Researchers’ Night is a public event, held throughout Europe, dedicated to popular science and learning through games funded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions.  It takes place every year during the last Friday of September. This year 371 cities located in more than 30 countries have participated. The events developed each year showcase the diversity of research and highlight the impact of research on our daily lives. The aim is also to motivate young people to embark on research careers. The events promote how researchers contribute to our society by displaying their work in an interactive and engaging forum.
