The virtual conferences ‘The Sea and the Blue Economy’ were organised within the SMARTBLUEF project of the Territorial Co-operation Programme INTERREG V-A Spain-Portugal MAC 2014-2020 and coordinated by its Canarian partners, PROEXCA, PLOCAN, CETECIMA and the Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands. During these conferences it was highlighted that this sector plays a key role in growth, through the creation of stable employment in the Canary Islands. They were celebrated virtually on June 2, 8, and 16 with a duration of approximately two hours each session.
