DESAL+ and PLOCAN in the 14th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES)

The 14th edition of the Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES), which is one of the most important conferences concerning energy, water and environmental, has taken place in Dubrovnik. This year, it has brought together 570 scientists, researchers, and experts from 55 countries.

The DESAL+ project was represented by the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN), with a presentation related to the use of wave energy to supply a desalination plant, which is specifically named ‘Energy supply of a Big Size Desalination Plant Using Wave Energy: Practical Case: North of Gran Canaria’, within the framework of the activity 2.2.1. “Joint development of research projects in desalination and its energy self-sufficiency”.

During the conference the presentation was given by one of the authors, Tyrone Lis Alecio, technologist associated to the PLOCAN project. This conference provided an space to share information betwen the memebers of the community and the possibility to publish the papers presented in scientific associated magazines.
