Students from the school Marina Läroverket visit PLOCAN

A delegation of students from the Swedish maritime school Marina Läroverket visited the facilities of the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN), as part of their training course on board of the ship school Älva in waters of the Canary Islands. The students, accompanied by their teachers, were informed in detail about the features and capabilities of the Multi-purpose Offshore Platform, the Observatory and the Test Site. Moreover, they were able to discover the specific characteristics and the operating modes of the gliders.

Marina Läroverket is a school with its headquarters in Stocksund Port, Stockholm, which provides Secondary and Adult education, as well as independent courses available on demand, related to oceanography, marine biology, geology and marine technologies, among others, which are mainly based on fieldwork aboard its ship school fleet.
