Austrian teachers of the Erasmus project, with the collaboration of the IES Politécnico Las Palmas visited the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands.
The visit started with a presentation that explained the facilities and services of PLOCAN. The presentation highlighted the Multipurpose Offshore Platform, the Test Site and the Marine Observatory. Furthermore, it explained the importance of these facilities and services for the scientific and technological international community and for the development of projects with public and private national and international partners.
Moreover, the teachers were able to visit the laboratories and the operating room of the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands, where they learnt more about the scientific and technical equipment used in PLOCAN, like the marine gliders or the underwater Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
