Students from the Peritia et Doctrina senior education program at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) for the 2024/2025 academic year have had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the activities carried out by the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN).
Approximately fifty students from the Peritia et Doctrina Diploma recently visited PLOCAN’s onshore headquarters, touring its facilities and learning about the services it offers to promote scientific and technological development in the marine-maritime field, contributing to the growth of the Blue Economy and promoting sustainable use of the ocean.

The students showed particular interest in the experimental actions at the test site, as well as in scientific training, the use and operation of underwater robotic devices, and, in general, the Consortium’s contributions to the study and observation of the Mid-Atlantic ocean space.
