SMARTBLUEF: Consolidating the Central Atlantic Alliance for SME Competitiveness in the blue economy

In the field of the blue economy, there are endless opportunities for development in consolidated maritime sub-sectors such as fisheries, maritime transport and ports, or in emerging ones such as maritime tourism (sailing and cruises), aquaculture or marine biotechnology, as set out in the European Blue Growth strategy.

SMARTBLUEF aims to consolidate the transnational alliance of innovation support agents as a tool to promote innovative culture and internationalisation, by taking advantage of synergies, capacities and shared resources in the area of OMC cooperation.

To this end, SMARTBLUEF is structured into 3 specific objectives:

SO1 GOVERNANCE – Strengthen territorial cooperation in the blue economy through governance and networking processes of the alliance of innovation support agents;

SO2 INNOVATION – To foster innovation, diversification and smart specialisation of blue economy SMEs through the development of advisory services, actions and projects aimed at the enterprise;

SO3 INTERNATIONALISATION – Promote the increase in the international presence of blue economy companies in the MAC territorial cooperation area by implementing joint promotion and offer actions.
