SMART COAST AI Solutions 4.0

The Smart Coast 4.0 project will develop two product groups to enhance maritime safety using AI. QAISC AI MARITIME SAFETY will include solutions for visibility measurement, coastal dynamics, and port supervision, along with a visual monitoring application. QAISC AI GUARD will enable vessel detection and tracking through radar, thermal cameras, and satellite data for safer navigation.

The aim of the project is based on the development of two new products. The first product, QAISC AI MARITIME SAFETY, integrates the following solutions: (C1) A directional atmospheric visibility measurement solution, (C2) A coastal wave and overtopping measurement solution, (C3) A monitoring and control solution for operations in anchoring zones (the demonstration will take place in Gran Canaria and Gijón), and
(C4) A software application for the control and monitoring of operations.
The second product, QAISC AI GUARD, is a vessel detection and tracking solution for maritime navigation safety, based on marine radar, dual thermal-optical cameras, AIS receiver, satellite information, and Artificial Intelligence (to be developed at the Taliarte Lighthouse under the coordination of the Las Palmas Port Authority).
