MAESTRO: Modular software system for digitalisation of parameters of underwater inspections carried out with ROV or AUV

The main objective of the MAESTRO project is to develop a modular software system capable of digitising all the parameters of underwater inspections carried out with ROVs or AUVs where the information is accessible from the cloud – based on geo-referenced data and including historical series – and with a learning system that allows predicting the state of conservation of the inspected installations. Such a system could provide a reconstruction of the inspected infrastructure in real time and in three dimensions, allowing operators to make instant decisions. These techniques are already used in other fields, but have not yet been taken to the marine environment, which is where part of the novelty of the solution lies.
