PLOCAN awarded with the Navigare Mare 2019 prize

The Canary Island Oceanic Platform (PLOCAN) has been awarded the Navigare Mare 2019 prize in the V Excellens Mare Prizes 2019, granted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (pwc) to acknowledge the merit and excellence of entities and people who do an outstanding job in the sustainable development of marine maritime activities.

The reason for awarding the prize to PLOCAN highlighted “the way in which PLOCAN operates is an international example of excellence in co-operation among important players associated with the sea to carry out joint activities that add value to the ocean”.

The prize was presented to the director of PLOCAN, Octavio LLinás, on the 6th of April at the ceremony held in the city of Figueira da Foz, in Portugal.
