PLOCAN participated with the presentation “Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands: Design, construction, equipment and operation” in the II Civil Engineering and Geomatics Workshop organised by the School of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The objective of this Workshop was to promote the knowledge related to Civil and Industrial Engineering among the students and the visitors and the interaction between the academic sector and the business sector related to these disciplines. It consisted of a series of presentations explained by company representatives that belong to this sector with social relevance due to their involvement in initiatives of great interest for the Canary Islands society.
During the Workshop information stands of the companies were available and the winners of the contests of both degrees were announced (the Spaghetti Bridge Building Contest in Civil Engineering and the Sandbox Contest in Geomatics).
