The Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) joins a new edition of the Autonomous Ship Expo & Conference, an international leading forum for the uncrewed maritime navigation sector, which takes place this week in the city of Amsterdam within the framework of the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo 2025, expecting around 2,500 attendees, 150 speakers and 300 leading exhibitors in the sector.
PLOCAN contributes to the event agenda by showing its Singular Scientific-Technical Infrastructure capabilities related to marine autonomous vehicles (USV) together with leaders from the international academia and industry field in diverse thematic sessions on the state of the art of the MASS (Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship); regulatory framework and legal responsibility; data, connectivity and cybersecurity; test-sites facilities, tests and validation; positioning and perception; training, good practices and operational procedures.
PLOCAN’s contribution to the event is framed as a dissemination action of the activities undertaken on the state of the industrial sector, future technological trends and synergies with the user community within the framework of the Mission Atlantic project, which has been funded by the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program of the European Union under Grant Agreement No. 862428.
