PLOCAN at the OCEANS 2025 Brest MTS-IEEE-OES conference

The Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) joined the OCEANS 2025 IEEE/MTS conference, a biannual international leading forum that seeks to advance and promote ocean sciences and technologies in interdisciplinary fields from a public-private perspective through the participation of leading institutions and companies in the sector.

Promoted by the international organizations Ocean Engineering Society (IEEE/OES) and the Marine Technology Society (MTS), and endorsed by the United Nations 2030 Ocean Decade program (UN Decade), the conference took place from June 17 to 19, 2025 in Brest, France, with a final balance of 1,200 attendees, 650 scientific-technical papers presented and more than one hundred international leading exhibitors.

In this edition of OCEANS MTS-IEEE-OES, with the central theme “Oceans: Infinity is the limit”, PLOCAN has contributed as a speaker in a thematic session of the event program related to “Ocean Technologies and Observatories”, which has had the participation of leading speakers from both the international academia and industry sectors. The activity is framed as a dissemination action of the Mission Atlantic project.

The Mission Atlantic project has been funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program under the Grant Agreement No. 862428.
