Promoted by the international organisations Ocean Engineering Society (IEEE/OES) and the Marine Technology Society (MTS), and endorsed by the Década de los Océanos 2030 de Naciones Unidas program (UN Decade), the conference took place on September 25th-28th, 2023 in Biloxi, MS (USA), with a final balance of 2.400 attendees, 900 scientific-technical works presented and more than two hundred leading exhibitors in the sector at international level.
In this edition, with the central theme Blue Economy: Locally Sourced, Globally Driven, PLOCAN has contributed as co-organizer of a thematic session in the conference program under the name “Cost Efficient, Scalable, Practical & Innovative Ocean Observing Technologies: The science we need for the oceans we want” joined by leading speakers from academic and industry sectors. The activity is framed as a dissemination action of the EuroSea project.
The EuroSea project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under Grant Agreement No. 862626.
