SUSME is a bi-regional cooperation between Europe and Latin America focused on testing, improving and optimising a set of technologies for harnessing marine energy. The main objective is to establish the basis for scaling up the devices to real sea conditions and prototype dimensions.
In the context of having efficient technologies, the analysis of the data derived from the laboratory tests will be used to design the components, subsystems and grid connection in a way that contributes to the reduction of the trade gap, to the interest of the industry in terms of reducing maintenance and operation costs, as well as to the Standardised Cost of Electricity (LCOE).
Mutual knowledge will be channelled for further development of technologies, as well as for future cooperation, as the results will lay the foundation for harnessing the ocean resource in different regions.
