IWE: Innpacto Wave Energy

The main objective of the INNPACTO Wave Energy Project is the development and demonstration of the usefulness of R&D&I projects based on PIPO Systems’ APC-PISYS technology, through the construction and location in the marine environment of two technological applications or products that can be exploited to satisfy existing demand, consisting of:

  • Autonomous maritime observation and surveillance device (5kW installed power prototype).
  • Energy buoy (prototype of 200 kW installed power).

The autonomous maritime observation and surveillance device satisfies the existing energy deficit in a clear and generalised way, in autonomous marine observation devices, both at oceanic and coastal level, as a demonstration example of a real world problem. The development of this device will also serve as an optimisation of the system, used as a prototype and as a preliminary step to the manufacturing of the energy buoy. In other words, the same technology with two different technological applications, both based on real existing demand.
