CyberCan is a wide-ranging initiative that aims to increase the level of cybersecurity in companies and administrations in the Canary Islands, addressing aspects related to risk prevention and data and system protection to promote a secure digital economy in the archipelago.
To achieve this objective, the project offers a strategy aimed at informing, training and promoting good practices in the use of tools and technologies that help improve the resilience of the productive sector against cyber threats.
CyberCan (Promoting cybersecurity in the Canary Islands) is aligned with the Digital Europe Programme, which identifies strengthening cybersecurity as one of its priorities. This key factor is also present in the Canary Islands Digital Agenda 2025, a tool that establishes the roadmap for addressing the digital transformation of our economic and social ecosystem.
This initiative, promoted by the Canary Islands Government through the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (ACIISI), is a specific action of the Canary Islands Digital Innovation Hub (CIDIHUB). The CIDIHUB consortium is made up of public and private agents from the islands with the aim of promoting the digital transformation of Canary Islands companies and institutions, and is supported by European and regional funding.
